Li’l Lilian

Li'l Lilian (3)

Happy Tuesday Everyone! Can you believe we are heading into April tomorrow? The year just seems to be flying by.

I’m feeling a tad sorry for myself today as I’ve got a sinus and throat infection, so after the school run I may just put my feet up, have a rest and do a little colouring…..the house work can wait…lol!

Anyhoo, enough waffle! I’ve made another page for my colouring journal. This one uses the Li’l Lilian Digi Stamp from Elisabeth Bell:

Li'l Lilian (1)

I’m trying out some new hair colour combinations, as since changing to Copics a few months back I’ve been sticking to browns and blondes. This is a nice vibrant red, maybe a little brighter than I was aiming for, but I like it anyway. It uses E49, E08, R08 and R02.

Supplies:

  • Image: Li’l Lilian from Elisabeth Bell
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: Lili of the Valley ‘Petal Fresh’ 8x8 Paper Pad
  • Card: Blue and Pale Blue card and Copic X-Press It Blending Card
  • Dies & Punches: EK Success Border Punch, Spellbinder Plain and Big Scalloped Ovals.
  • Embellishments: Pearls, Paper Flowers, Tim Holtz Chit Chat Stickers, Ribbon and doodling/faux stitching with a blue fineline pen.

Spring Like Lilybelle

Spring Lillybelle (7)

Afternoon all! It’s time for another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and I’m joining in as a Krafty Guest.  This week's challenge is for Easter/Spring Krafty Kreations! And if you thought it couldn’t get any better than playing with your Krafty Stash, think again as there is the chance to WIN a $10 gift card to the Kraftin' Kimmie shop.

I don’t send (or make) Easter Cards so I have made a spring themed card and I’ve used ‘Lilybelle’ again…..I just love fairies:

Spring Lillybelle (5)

I dug deep into my paper stash and re-discovered a much loved Echo Park paper pad that I haven’t used in a long time. It’s very aptly named Springtime and the colours are so pretty and perfect for a Spring themed card

Supplies:

  • Image: Lilybelle from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
  • Sentiment: Springtime Friends from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: Echo Park ‘Springtime’ 6x6 Paper Pad
  • Card: Lilac Card and Copic X-Press It Blending Card
  • Dies & Punches: Go Kreate Large Circle Dies and Fiskars 3-in-1 Heart Corner Punch (for the little hearts)
  • Embellishments: Pearls, Glitter Glue, Clear Wink of Stella Pen, Ribbon and Doodling with a Black Fine Line Pen

If you are in need of a bit more Krafty Stash there are loads of fabulous NEW goodies in the Krafty Store and the Frugal Friday goodies are listed here. So now is as good as time as any for a shopping trip. Make sure you take a peak at the March New Releases as well while you’re there!!

Also the fabulously awesome Coffee Kits are available, the pre-orders sold out so quickly but Kimmie was able to get more goodies and make more kits. This is the last weekend they are available for purchase and they can be found here.

Now it’s your turn, create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp or any other stamp and be sure to use our THEME as a starting point for your creation! You have until 3rd April at 11:55 pm EST to get your entries in! And don’t forget to share your makes over at Kraftin’ Kimmie's Krafty Friends Facebook Group!

Easter Cuties – Digi Bells New Release Hop

Easter Cuties (2)

Afternoon all. Two posts in one day….go me!!!

I’m back to share the wonderful new digi image that has been released by Elisabeth Bell called Easter Cuties. This image was once available through SCACD, but was far too adorable stay hidden so Elisabeth has released it as a digi and I for one am so happy. Here is my card:

Easter Cuties (5)

I have left my card without a sentiment at the moment. I toyed with using a Happy Easter sentiment but I don’t send Easter cards so I think she will become a birthday card eventually. It’s a shame Mother’s Day has passed here in the UK as I think she would have been lovely for that occasion.

The blog hop will will run for one week and will end on Friday 3rd April at 9:00am Arizona Time (4pm for us UK ladies).

If you have stumbled upon this post and would like to join us on the hop you will find the line up below. However if you are already hopping along your next stop will be the fabulous Lynda for some more inspiration.

Blog Hop Line-up

  • Stamps: Lili of the Valley Corner Stamp

Anyhoo, enough waffle from me. Here is some inspiration using Sweet Nora from Whiff of Joy:

I’ve used Rachel Little Angel and made a reasonably CAS birthday card:

Rachel Little Angel (5)

Bit of a dodgy photo on this one. I’ve managed to pick up the shimmer on her wings but the four smaller pearls look a right odd colour….I swear they match in real life!!!

  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: Patterned Vellum (make unknown)
  • Card: Pink and White Card and Copic X-Press It Blending Card
  • Stamps: Personal Impressions Double Sayings Stamp Set

Beach Pretty

Beach Pretty (4)

Afternoon all. As I need to do the school run in a littlw while there really isn’t enough time to pick up the paint brush and carry on with the decorating ;-) So I’m having a rest with a cuppa and thought I would pop on here and share my latest make!

The wonderful Krista at Saturated Canary is hosting a colouring competition and you can read all about it on her post here. You have to use one of two specific digis, available at 50% off in the shop. I’ve used Beach Pretty (but I bought both!!!) and created another page for my colouring journal:

Lilybelle

Lilybelle (4)

Afternoon all! It’s time for another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and I’m joining in as a Krafty Guest….whoop whoop I’m having so much Krafty fun!!  This week's challenge is for Birthdays but no Pink or Blue on your Krafty Kreation! And if you thought it couldn’t get any better than playing with your Krafty Stash, think again as there is the chance to WIN a $10 gift card to the Kraftin' Kimmie shop.

This was a good challenge to push me out of my comfort zone as one of my go to colours is pink, but I searched my patterned papers until I found something I liked, coloured up the magical ‘Lilybelle’ to match (using the no-lines technique) and here is my card:

Lilybelle (6)

I wasn’t sure this card was going to come together. The colouring was quite tricky as I’m new to Copics and for oranges and greens don’t really have any tried and tested go to colour combos, but having said that I am really pleased with the final card.

Supplies:

  • Image: Lilybelle from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
  • Sentiment: Make a Wish from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: My Minds Eye (very old…will see if I can find the name!)
  • Card: Kraft card, Black card and Copic X-Press It Blending Card
  • Dies & Punches: X-Cut Square Punch and Small Scalloped Border Punch
  • Embellishments: Paper flowers, Pearls and glitter glue

If you are in need of a bit more Krafty Stash there are loads of fabulous NEW goodies in the Krafty Store and the Frugal Friday goodies are listed here. So now is as good as time as any for a shopping trip. Make sure you take a peak at the March New Releases as well while you’re there!! Let’s Party

Julie (2)

Morning All…..it's Wonderful Wednesday time ( sounds a lot nicer than Happy Hump Day…lol)! And as a Krafty Guest over at Kraftin' Kimmie  I get to play along…whoot whoot. As always on Wonderful Wednesday it's ANYTHING GOES! So I hope you have some Krafty Fun with your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and play along.

There is a wonderful sketch this month, you don’t have to use it but it’s fabulous so you may want to ;-) I used it for one of my March New Release creations but I just had to use it again. Talking about New Releases THEY'RE HERE! The March New Release stamps are in the Krafty store and ready to find a new home!

And here is my card using the fabulous Julie:

Julie (3)

I stuck very rigidly to the sketch last time so this time thought I would change it up with a shaped base and instead of having gaps in between the 4 sections I used ribbon instead. Plus I got these fabulous new dies as a Mother’s day present :-) Most of the cards I have seen with them are very Frou Frou and whilst I thing they look stunning it’s not a look I find easy to achieve so this here is my CAS take on it!!

Supplies:

  • Image & Sentiment: Julie from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: Papermania Spots & Stripes Festive 12x12 Paper Pack
  • Card: Blue and Yellow card and Copic X-Press It Blending Card
  • Dies & Punches: Go Kreate XXL Frilly Frames #10 Dies and X-Cut Square Punch( For the Fishtail Banners), Fiskars 3-Way Heart Corner Punch (to make the little Hearts)
  • Embellishments: Ribbon, Glitter Glue, Gems and Doodling with a fineline black pen

As well as the NEW stamps, there are MORE Coffee Kits available! The last time the kits were listed they sold out super QUICK! There are limited quantities, so get yours before they are gone!

We love having Krafty fun and want as many people as possible to play along….. so your submission can use ANY stamp and can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item....anything you fancy! So hop over to the Kraftin’ Kimmie Blog to see all the details and join in the fun!

Back to my decorating now….thanks for stopping by

Little Friends

DSC05196

Happy Tuesday Everyone and Happy St Patrick’s Day!

More news I have forgotten to share is that I’m joining the Digi Bells again as a guest designer….Whoot Whoot!!!  I had a fabulous time last time and absolutely love colouring Elisabeth’s images so I’m over the moon excited.

Anyhoo, enough waffle! This is my card using the super cute Little Friends Digi Stamp:

DSC05194

I’m so pleased with my colouring on this one and I think the classes at Kit & Clowder are really starting to show….I’ve finally got the hang of those flicks…hehe.

Not quite sure I’ve got the card layout right on this though. I was aiming for something a little pretty with ribbon, lace, etc, but I was so  desperate to use the little poem that was on the sheet of patterned paper (as it’s about a little bird) that I added it and now it just looks ugly stuck there. Here is a close up of the poem:

DSC05195

Originally I was planning to leave the card without a sentiment and then add one at a later date, but I think I may just go straight back into the craft room, remove said ugly lump and replace it with a cute little ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment….lol!

Right, best get on as I have decorating to be getting on with. I finally decided on paint colours for our hallway….. it’s only taken three weeks and more tester pots than you care to imagine!!!

Supplies:

  • Image: Little Friends from Elisabeth Bell
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: Melissa Frances 5th Avenue 6x6 Paper Pad
  • Card: Navy card, Pearlescent Cream Card and Copic X-Press It Blending Card
  • Dies & Punches: Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Doily Square Dies.
  • Embellishments: Pearls, Ribbon, Lace and Glitter Glue

Spider Andy (2)

Fairly CAS and using classic Spiderman Colours, I think this one is one of the favourite cards I have made recently.

Supplies:

  • Image: Spider Hero Andy from Pink Gem Designs
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: Make Unknown (may have been a craft pack from Lidl)
  • Card: Copic X-Press It Blending Card, white card and blue pearlescent blue card.
  • Dies & Punches: Spellbinders Labels 18 Dies, Sizzix Framelit Star Dies, 5 and today dies from All Occasion Dies and a small circle punch (used on corners
  • Embellishments: Button, Twine, Felt and Gems

Off on the school run now and then on with the housework but hopefully might squeeze in a little crafting time later.

Hannah Hearts her Mum

Hannah Hearts (5)

Afternoon all! It’s time for another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and I’m joining in as a Krafty Guest. This week's challenge is a colour challenge and we are asking you to use PINK, BROWN and TURQUOISE in your Krafty Kreation! And if you thought it couldn’t get any better than playing with your Krafty Stash, think again as there is the chance to WIN a $10 gift card to the Kraftin' Kimmie shop.

I’ve used Hannah Hearts for my card today but I thought she would be cute on a Mother’s day card (which is 15th March here in the UK) instead of a Valentine’s creation:

If you are in need of a bit more Krafty Stash there are loads of fabulous NEW goodies in the Krafty Store and the Frugal Friday goodies are listed here. So now is as good as time as any for a shopping trip.

Now it’s your turn, create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp or any other stamp and be sure to use our THEME as a starting point for your creation! You have until March 13th at 11:55 pm EST to get your entries in!

Have you joined the Kraftin’ Kimmie's Krafty Friends Facebook Group? It's the best place to keep up with all of the goings on as well as sharing YOUR creations and getting inspired by other Krafty Friends' creations!

Wonderful Wednesday at Kraftin’ Kimmie

Sophia (1)Afternoon all.

You know me and that I’m not great at sharing my own fabulous news….well this month I’m a Krafty Guest at Kraftin' Kimmie! Wowee am I over the moon. I’m new to Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps (thanks to the enabler Alyce over at Kit & Clowder for introducing me to them :-)) but I have fallen for the Moonlight Whispers stamps, they are so fabulous to colour.

Well my first post is for Wonderful Wednesday! We hope you play along and as always it's ANYTHING GOES! Break out your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and get krafty!

I’ve been thinking about making an album for a while, but I don’t really scrap and I’m not into Art Journaling so I’m making an album of my colouring journey and card style, here is my album page using Moonlight Whispers – Sophia:
