Little Lamb and a GDT Call

Little Lamb (1)

Evening all. A late post from me tonight as I had a few hours play after the children went to bed :-). I coloured up the cute Little Lamb and thought I would use the fabulous sketch by Lynda and try out for the GDT call. I was lucky enough to be a Guest Digi Bell  in August, September and October of 2013 and I had an absolutely fab time, so would love the chance again!

Here is Lynda’s sketch:

And here is my card:

Little Lamb (2)

I have actually stayed very true to the sketch, which I usually find really hard to do! Combining the adorable image with some fabulous Lili of the Valley papers and the it was one of those card that just seemed to come together right….if you know what I mean!

I’m getting ahead as this will be a card for my Mother-in-Law for Mother’s Day (which is 15th March here in the UK). Now better hurry off to bed, busy day tomorrow….finalizing details for our re-decorating our en-suite bathroom and then onto Farnborough for the Make-It craft show (and some pre-birthday shopping).

  • Card: Copic X-Press It Blending Card and Ribbed Kraft Card
  • Dies & Punches: Tonic Simplicity Daisy 2 Border Punch

Birthday Girl

Birthday Girl (2)

Morning All. Whoop whoop, it’s half term here and my eldest has gone to stay with my sister and the littlest is staying with my Mum and Dad….peace and quiet, but I do have some decorating to keep me busy. I armed with a wall paper steamer and I’m not afraid to use it lol!

I like to have a stash of some CAS cards, as they are nice and light and ready to pop in the post. Here is a card I made using Birthday Girl from Whiff of Joy:

Birthday Girl (3)

I’ve used a digi sentiment that I found here on Birds Cards (sorry I lost the direct link) and merged the images in word so it looks like the candle smoke is making the words.

Best get on with the DIY, that wallpaper isn’t going to strip itself!

Supplies:

  • Image: Birthday Girl from Whiff of Joy
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • Card: Red and Black Card, Copic X-Press It Blending Card
  • Dies & Punches: MS Border Punch
  • Embellishments: Stickles Glitter Glue

Spider Hero

I just popped on to schedule a couple of posts and notice that this should have been posted yesterday….oops…….it helps if you actually hit PUBLISH…..doh!

It’s time for a new challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and this time my teamie Marianne has chosen the theme of ‘Children’s Playtime’

Andy in Spider Suit (3)

This was perfect timing for me as my eldest is off to a Birthday Party this afternoon for a school friend who is Spider Man crazy, so I have used Spider Hero Andy to make this birthday card.

I’ve stuck with the bold colours for the background but kept the embellishments to just a few little stars.

Supplies:

  • Image: Spider Hero Andy from Pink Gem Designs
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: Lili of the Valley Candles & Cake 8x8 Paper pad
  • Card: Black and Blue Card
  • Dies & Punches: MS Zig Zag Border Punch, Star Punch and All Occasion Word Dies
  • Embellishments: Stickles Glitter Glue

Butterflies in a Butterfly

Morning all! I’m up on the Little Claire blog today with a fun digi stamp project using the Butterflies in a Butterfly digi stamp:

Butterflies in a Butterly

What with Christmas and Birthdays I’ve made a lot of cards recently but haven’t made much else. So I thought I would remedy that by making a shopping list holder to keep my shopping list paper tidy.

No supplies today, but if you would like to see what I used and how I made it please hop over to the Little Claire Blog.

….Every time I look Around

Sorry I got a bit carried away their singing (you’ll need to look back at the previous post title to get what I’m waffling about!). I love the song and it features on one of my favourite films, Strictly Ballroom.

Oops I’m waffling again. I’m up on the Gems of Inspiration Blog today with the February page from my 2015 desk calendar. Here it is:

Cute Little Fairy Chloe already had little hearts on her crown and shows, so I added a little wooden heart to her wand and she is now a cute little Cupid Fairy. Lot’s of pink, roses (who doesn’t like roses on Valentine’s day??) and a little bit of lace.

Supplies:

  • Image: Fairy Chloe from Pink Gem Designs
  • Colouring Medium: Copics and ProMarkers
  • DP: Lili of the Valley ‘Always & Forever’ Paper Pad
  • Card: Kraft and White Linen Card
  • Dies & Punches: Go Kreate Frilly Frames Dies, X-Cut Square Parenthesis and X-Cut Square Punch
  • Embellishments: Lace, Sequined Heart, Satin Hearts, Wooden Heart and Glossy Accents

Love is in the Air….

Girl and Heart (1)Love Birds Cage (2)

Afternoon All. I’m here, a little later than planned, as I’ve been dithering over new carpet all morning. I’m terrible at making decisions….hubby has been laughing at me. I keep saying ‘That one’s too brown’, ‘That ones too dark’, etc, etc, and he looks at me bewildered and says they all look the same to him…haha! Oh well I will get there eventually!

Anyhoo, I’m here to share a couple of cards I made as GDT over at Jellypark Challenge Blog. The theme for this challenge is Love so I have made a couple of Valentine’s cards.

This first one uses Girl Hugging Heart and is available as part of the ‘Love is in the Air’ bundle here:

Girl and Heart (2)

I thought I would try and steer clear of traditional red this year and used a soft pink and green colour scheme.

Supplies (Girl Hugging Heart):

  • Image: Love is in the Air bundle from Jellypark
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: Lili of the Valley ‘Baskets & Bunnies’ Paper Pad
  • Card: Beige Card
  • Stamps: Sentiment from a Kraftin Kimmie Stamp Hannah with Hearts
  • Ink: Distress Inkpad ‘Gathered Twigs’
  • Dies & Punches: X-Cut Square Punch
  • Embellishments: Satin Hearts

The second card uses the image ‘Love Birds’ from the same bundle.

Love Birds Cage (1)

I Google'd Lovebirds and tried to colour them in similar colours. As the colours are quite striking I  kept the rest of the card quite clean and simple.

Supplies (Girl Hugging Heart):

  • Image: Love is in the Air bundle from Jellypark
  • Colouring Medium: Copics
  • DP: Lili of the Valley ‘One Birdie Lane’ Paper Pad
  • Card: Aqua and Lemon Card
  • Embellishments: Dymo Label Sentiment and Doodling with a fine line pen
